COVID-19: Navigating These Uncharted Waters

As the COVID-19 continues to impact our daily lives; We at Bloomingdale Communications would like our customers to know that we are still here for you.  Although we’ve had to make significant changes to our business practices through social distancing measures and office closures; We are working hard to ensure our customers are still taken care of.
 
The safety of our customers and employees is our number one priority.  We understand that Bloomingdale Communications’ infrastructure plays a critical role during this difficult time.  We have made alterations to our business practices that are in the best interest of not only our employees, but also our customers.
 

  1. Customer Service & Technical Assistance: Our front offices will remain closed for the safety of our employees and customers, but our Customer Care and Help Desk Teams are still available via phone. Our representatives are working safely from their own homes and are still available to take your calls and answer your questions. If you need to make a payment, each of our offices are equipped with a drop box. Those are checked regularly during our 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. business day and payments are posted on the same day.

**If you do need to call for customer service, please be patient as our call volume is higher than usual.  Feel free to leave a voicemail and our staff will return your call by the end of the business day.

  1. Paying Your Bill:  Many are finding themselves in a time of uncertainty and we recognize that many of our customers are financially impacted. Our Customer Care Team is dedicated to working with customers facing financial hardship, whether it’s a payment arrangement or temporary service modification. If you’re concerned about paying your bill, please call us sooner than later at 269-521-7300 so we can find a solution. We are waiving all late payment fees right now, but ultimately want to help our customers stay on top of bills to the best of their ability to avoid a huge catch-up when we reach the other side of this pandemic. Our team is prepared to help and support you through this time. It’s what we’ve always done and what we will always do.
  2. Practicing Social Distancing: We’re working differently than we ever have and taking every precaution to keep our employees safe and healthy. You also play a role in that. Our technicians and contractors are still at work in the field, and we’re asking you to maintain a safe distance. Please leave our crews to do their work and don’t stop to chat or ask questions. If you have a question about what they’re doing, please call our office.
  3. Doing Our Part to Provide Resources for You: If you need access to the internet; from the comfort of your vehicle we have opened up our Bloomingdale Communications’ guest networks to the public.  These networks can be accessed in the parking lot across from our Bloomingdale office and in the parking lot of our Paw Paw office.  Additionally, we’ve partnered with all of Van Buren District Library locations to extend public Wi-Fi access to their parking lots.
